Pilates Class Description

Pilate’s fundamentals- If you have not taken any classes before, this is the class to take.  Learn the basics of Pilates and strengthen your cord.  In addition to emphasizing the basics, the focus is also on the quality of movement, increasing body awareness

                 Monday and Thursdays 8:00 am

                 Monday and Wednesday 5:30 pm

 Pilates for cyclists- A strong cyclist must have a strong core. This class teaches the fundamentals of plates, keeping in mind the special needs of the cyclist, while it is not necessary to be a cyclist to take this class, the student should be used to intensely.  No previous Pilates experience necessary but faster pace than the Pilates fundamentals.

              Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00 pm

                 

Intermediate Pilates– Once you get your powerhouse in gear now is the time to start moving with it!  This class has a faster pace than the fundamental class with more advanced exercises. Emphasis is on flow as well as correct form and technique

               Mondays and Thursdays 7:00 pm

Private Sessions– During private session you work one-on-one with the instructor to develop a workout tailored to you. Private Sessions are tailored according to your fitness level and body’s specific needs.  Each person coming to learn Pilates has a different body and set of fitness challenges, therefore there is not one formula for everybody. Attention is given to details that make the workout more effective and beneficial.  Times for privates are individually set, so call to set up your time. 

 

Duet Sessions– Want the benefit of the individualized full Pilates system but in a more affordable way?  Duet sessions are a great way to get the benefits of the private sessions.  Many students also think of duet sessions as a great time to spend time with a friend or family member.



Class Types

Pilates Basics
     This class is designed for the Pilates novice or the more experienced Pilates student who wants to concentrate on perfecting Pilate’s technique.  Pilates is more then a choreographed set of exercises, it is the principals behind the exercise that makes Pilates unique.  Learn both in this class.  Attention to detail is emphasized in these classes.

Pilates Flow   Once you are familiar with Pilates exercise and principals, it’s time to emphasize the Pilates principal of flow.    Precision and technique are still important, but can you hold on to them as we speed things up a bit? 

Pilates Open   This class is open to beginners and more experienced.  Care will be given to make sure the beginners will be given attention at the same time making sure the more advanced student is challenged.

Pilates on the Ball       Take your Pilates Mat work to new levels of fun and challenge.  The instability of the ball is a great challenge to your core stability.  This is an open class.

Private Sessions          For individualized instruction in the full Pilates System, one-on-one with the instructor is the best.  Using all of the Pilates equipment, the classical Pilates is modified and applied to your personal needs and level.  Wow, see the results!

Duet Sessions    Want the benefit of the individualized full Pilates system but can't afford privates?  Duets are for you.  Two people are taught together resulting in savings for both.  A great way to spend time with a friend or family member.
